JS SlideShow Script II

JavaScriptSource Staff Jul 15, 2004
Dynamic fader effect image transitions in IE highlight this easy, short, cross-browser cut-and-paste script that presents images in a continuous slideshow format. Any number of images can be used, and timing is adjustable. Great for newcomers, but a solid utility script, too.

The JavaScript Source: Image Effects: JS SlideShow Script II

Simply click inside the window below, use your cursor to highlight the script, and copy (type Control-c or Apple-c) the script into a new file in your text editor (such as Note Pad or Simple Text) and save (Control-s or Command-s). The script is yours!!!

The script doesn't work on this page and I can't make it work on mine. What's the problem?

Hello, I am using this script for website gallery, however cannot adjust the cross fade duration. It came with 3 preset, but regardless which value I put in, it does not change the fading speed. Any suggestions on how to make it work? Thank you.

Greetings-- On my website (riveroftimephotography.com), I am using the Javascript from this page: http://www.javascriptsource.com/image-effects/js-slideshow-script--ii.html Is there a way to start the slideshow at a random place in the array each time the page loads? In other words, right now it always starts at zero. I would love to have it start somewhere in the middle. The order of images could stay the same as long as the starting point could vary. An experienced programmer (which I am not) could probably do this easily, and I would appreciate your help. Many thanks, --Ed
